Giving Back & Growing Together!

Updated: 4 days ago
September was another busy month for ACES! From supporting local organizations and fighting hunger to watching our newest partnership come to life, we've had plenty of reasons to celebrate.
Here's a look at what we've been up to!

We're Off to a PAWsome Start!
September brought some tail-wagging excitement as participants in the Y'ALLS Day Program at Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett rolled up their sleeves and got busy baking and packaging dog treats in preparation for our first event together as partners!

And let us tell you, the enthusiasm was absolutely contagious!Ā š¶
From preparing the treats to packaging the finished products, the Y'ALLS crew was hard at work, putting valuable life and vocational skills into practice.
But the BEST part? Seeing the pride on everyone's faces as their hard work came together! Those smiles said it all. š„°
That's what ACES BARKery is really about. The dog treats are wonderful, of course, but the opportunities behind them are even better. Through hands-on activities with a real purpose, participants are developing skills, building confidence, working together, and experiencing the satisfaction of a job well done.
We're thrilled to see this partnership come to life, and we can't wait to see what the Y'ALLS crew accomplishes next! Like we say...
Good for your dog. Great for our Community!

a $2,000 Reason to Smile!
ACES is delighted to be a C.A.K.E. Sponsor (Contributors Assuring Kindhearted Empowerment), supporting Special Kneads & Treats with a recurring monthly contribution of $100. In August, we decided to sweeten the deal by hosting a special charity poker fundraiser for their Project 250 Challenge!
And the icing on top?Ā Our AMAZING ACES poker community came through in a BIG way, helping us raise an incredible $2,000 for this wonderful organization!Ā šš

On September 2, ACES Operations Manager Bergie Frazier had the pleasure of personally delivering the BIG check to the bakery!
As a longtime Friend of ACES, Special Kneads & Treats holds a special place in our hearts, and we're always happy to support their incredible work creating meaningful employment opportunities for adults with special needs.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who played, donated, dealt, volunteered, and helped make the event a success. You turned an afternoon around the poker tables into something that reaches well beyond them!
And, of course, Bergie couldn't leave without sampling the menu. His recommendation? The chicken salad croissant sandwich! šš„ Seriously, go hungry!

ACES was proud to sponsor the Loganville Police Department's Donut Dash, benefiting Walton County Special Olympics! š
What a fun way to bring our community together, support local law enforcement, and celebrate athletes with intellectual disabilities!
And really, who can resist a good cause with donuts involved? š©š®
š„« Fighting Hunger | 1,874 Pounds of Food Donated!
Our efforts to fight food insecurity continued in September with donations totaling an impressive 1,874 pounds of foodĀ to local food assistance organizations!
Food insecurity affects families throughout our community, and we're grateful to support the organizations working to put food on the tables of those who need it most. ā¤ļø
ā¤ļø It's All About Community!
Whether we're creating hands-on learning opportunities through ACES BARKery, championing athletes with intellectual disabilities, helping our community partners reach their goals, or fighting hunger, each of these efforts reflects what ACES is all about.
Our charitable fundraising events bring people together for fun and friendly competition, but the impact doesn't end when the games are over.
To our players, dealers, volunteers, donors, and community partners: THANK YOU!Ā Your continued participation and generosity make these opportunities possible.
Here's to another month of making a difference, together! ššā¤ļø
