July reminded us that giving back doesn’t always look the same.

This month, ACES had the opportunity to support Camp Journey, where individuals with autism can experience camp, build independence, make connections, and just have FUN! ACES was proud to make a $1,000 donation to help support those opportunities. 💙💛❤️

🦅 Remembering Ken Frady

July was also a month of remembrance as we honored Ken Frady, a longtime ACES supporter who regularly played with us at Del Rio. Ken passed away from a fast-acting cancer, and his last game with ACES was on the 4th of July last year.

Ken had tremendous respect for law enforcement. He carried special coins to give to officers and was known to pick up their meals as his way of saying thank you for protecting and serving our community.

Beginning July 4, ACES held a special fundraiser in Ken’s memory benefiting the Gwinnett County Police Foundation. Players who donated $50 or more to Gwinnett County Police Foundation received a special patriotic red, white and blue ACES Charity Poker shirt honoring Ken, with “In Memory of Ken Frady” on the sleeve.
